was already in from the shorter tfs but closed my position for the weekend,left open a demo trade . is anyone else in this trade!!

hi guys,i dont post much but i keep up to date most days.iv read a lot of questions about exits and take profit strategies/ideas but i dont remember having read about anyone using daily/weekly ave. ranges in there trading??do you guys have any thoughts on this??

im gonna just take the chance to thank everyone here on THE BEST THREAD ON THE WEB!! i mean it too

just started trading real money on my penny acount and the confidence to do so comes ENTIRELY FROM YOU GENEROUS FOLK ON THIS THREAD !!(and others) by the time i bought my first book it had nothing to teach me!!

i had already learned what it had to say and a whole lot more right here!! ok in my case iv demo traded a long time due to time restraints and so have had plenty of time to soak things up lol.
Biggest lessons learned trading real cash so far....
1/ your emotions will kill your account!!! for sure!!... really!!...honest...
2/ so will your emotions!!... really !!!.... honest!!...
Best trade so far......
1000 + pips up in TWO TRADING SESSIONS!!!(gb/us short lol lol) unbelievable.
Worst trade so far.....
-350 pips in one afternoon when i was at work....it should have been a close 2 1/3 of my winning possition(when i left in the mornin)only i was stopped out before my order was hit and i had a possition runnin in the wrong direction with no stop!!!!lol....we live and learn

hi everyone, currently short us/cad was wondering if anybody would like to comment on my chart.got my stop at just above 124.50,a little better than BE.
it seems to have hit its first problem area and i am waiting to see if price breaks below the 122.00 area and ,hopfully drop down to the 120.00 level??
anyone in this trade?

for what its worth i like the us/chf pin, or i should say i like its location.price is facing trend lines fib levels ppzs.therers a lot to get through imo

looking to short the pair below 1.1500 targeting 1300 for 1st t.

i had hoped for a retest of those last highs but kinda saw it coming also.i closed the last small portion because i lost confidence in the trade.
i got a better run on the euro short from just under 1.3100

hi Ray, this is not a pin bar my friend. for a bullish PB you want the tail to shoot out BELOW the lows of the swing down (and visa versa for bearish PBs)This would signify the change of power from bears to bulls.
and you want the clo9se to be in the upper half of the candles range. when the body of a candle is in the middle it is called a spinning top and is a neutrel candle needing more confirmation before taking a view on price direction. good PBs are much more powerfull a signal if chosen carefully.

You can be negative on pips and still be positive in terms of % increase in account size at the end of any given week or month, or year...

i remember doing the same hehe, but in the end 3% risk is 3% risk and 2/1 win to lose ratio is 2/1 win to lose ratio no matter how you look at it . the rest is just numbers

have to say though it is easier to bag say 50 pips than say 150 pips. Wether you can get in with a small enough stop to make it worth it is another question. not that it cant be done though.

spot on,your chart shows more than you highlighted.unlike good pins which show the CHANGE of hands from bulls to bears or visa versa,hammers spinning tops etc show the loosing of momentum more than loosing control.can well be traded imo with CONFIRMATION.
the exeption to the rule i think is when the candle,doji, hammer etc, gaps above/below the previous candle and the candle after the doji, hammer ,gaps back down/up again.this three candle pattern can show nice revesals.
